Elon Musk
Elon Musk has contributed to computer science by coming up with new inventions which are used in SpaceX which is the company he is CEO of. The company is like a space program type of thing similar to NASA. Musk is a billionaire entrepreneur so he is able to create and design all sorts of things with the amount of wealth and knowledge Musk has.He founded SpaceX back in 2002, it was the first private spaceflight firm. SpaceX has been the first private company to deliver a spacecraft to the International Space Station. Musk has laid out plans for hopes in one day to colonize Mars. Something he has also done to contribute to computer science is that he co-founded the vehicle manufacture Tesla Motors in 2003. That company creates electric vehicles which are cleaner for the environment since they don't run on gasoline.
Elon Reeve Musk was born on June 28, 1971 in South Africa. He was born to a South african father and a Canadian mother. He eventually moved to Canada and attended Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario. In 1992 he transferred to the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. He founded an online financial service he named X.com which eventually was renamed into Paypal. He later on sold it to Ebay for $1.5 billion in 2002.
