Some of the greatest computer related inventions of all time are planes because without them we wouldn't be able to make trips to other counties so quickly. New modern aircraft are also very technological with all the programming and radars they have. The military also uses very advanced technology to fight and win battles with the enemies this country has acquired over time. Another one of the greatest computer related inventions are medicine and all the technology used for saving lives and for surgery. If we did not have computers then we wouldn't have this class. Our society is the way it is due to computers and computer related inventions.
Class Evaluation
- Some things that I liked about the class were that the class was easy to pass. I also liked the fact that we were able to use computers and learned how to create certain animations. I also liked how we were able to research stuff and learn more about keys in life and learning some thin gs we should follow to be successful.
- I did not like how boring this class was. We were given assignments to do that were really boring and its hard trying not to fall asleep in this class. I also didn't like the fact that we do the same thing every time we are in this class.
- Some recommendations to im,prove this class would be to not be working on the same assignment for over 2 days. I would also recommend that the teacher shows us movies about the invention of some computers or the internet or anything that relates with computers and programming.
- No I am not reading my goals journal EVERY SINGLE DAY, I do read it everyday I have time and I remember about it, but I am not on it everyday like that.
- I cannot say that I am committed to being CTR 24/7 for personal reasons which I choose to not discuss about.
- I did not learn anything that I plan to tell others to help them out because nothing I learned in this class was useful to my life and my personal experiences.
- One thing that I will remember from this class is that the teacher has a bible club.

Who's Who in Computer Science
Bill Gates
Bill Gates is an entrepreneur and businessman who' s partner is Paul Allen and founded the world's largest software business, Microsoft. He was born on October 28, 1955 in Seattle, Washington. Both his parents had stable jobs, so he grew up in an upper middle-class family with two sisters. Bill's education was astonishing because he would spend hours going over reference books, like the encyclopedia. When his parents transferred him to Lakeside School he became entranced with what a computer could do. Something really interesting was that he wrote his own tic-tac-toe program in BASIC computer language and this allowed users to play against the computer. Later in 1973, he graduated from Lakeside and attended Harvard University in the fall of 1973. Bill had scored 1590 out of 1600 on the college SAT test. It turns out that gate was thinking of having a career in law but withing two year of school he dropped out in 1975 and pursued his own business, Microsoft, with partner Paul Allen.

The Psychology of Winning
The 10 Qualities of a Total Winner
ቶ ቶ
Denis Waitley
Quality 1: Positive Self-Expectancy
"Life is a self fulfilling prophecy. True winners go into every event expecting to win."
When you give yourself a positive self-expectancy it means that you only expect he positive things to come out of your actions. Having these expectancy is one way to help psychologically motivate yourself because if you keep telling yourself that you can do it then you will put in even more effort to make that a reality. An example of this is when you are going to an interview to see if you get a dream job of yours. You have to self motivate yourself by telling yourself that you can do it and this positive self-expectancy will make you even more confident so the chances of you getting that job will increase. Psychologically motivating/tricking yourself is a really smart way to increase your chances of success. Only expect the best for yourself and you will only get the best.
Quality 2: Positive Self-Motivation
Quality 2: Positive Self-Motivation
"True winners dig deep and find motivation inside themselves to get through that tough task or learn a new skill"
Self-motivations is something we should all have because without self-motivation we might not feel like being productive. To have self-motivation means that you motivate yourself to do whatever you set your mind too. An example of this is when you are too tired to get up in the morning but you convince yourself to get up and do something for the day. The reason why self-motivation is so important is because is no one is around to motivate you then who else is other than yourself. Another example of this is when you want to better yourself as a person whether that is in physical shape or intellectually. You should do it only for yourself because you should really want it.
Quality 3: Positive Self-Image
Quality 3: Positive Self-Image
"True winners are confident and view themselves as competent, valuable human beings."
When you have a positive self-image it means you see yourself as perfect and nothing wrong with you. When you have a positive self-image you give yourself a positive attitude which can make you a person whom others would want to associate with. You have to view yourself as perfect before others will. An example in which this quality would be useful in is when you or someone is running for a position in power such as presidency or governmental. The reason why positive self-image would be necessary in this situation is because self-image is important. I know this as a fact because John F. Kennedy use self-image as a way to help himself get votes. If you do not look be suited for a position then you will most likely not get it.
Quality 4: Positive Self-Direction
Quality 4: Positive Self-Direction
"You gotta have direction if you are going to go anywhere.
True winners know where they are going.
Their sense of direction comes from the self and not from outside influences like
Their sense of direction comes from the self and not from outside influences like
parents or friends."
When we talk about sense of direction, we are talking about knowing where you want to go in life. This is one of the most important things that you have to know because wherever you want to go in life will impact your future dramatically. Sense of direction should be one of the skills you choose to improve on because where you go in life will determinate the type of life style you live. Wherever you want to go should be a place where you can improve and not a place that is for CTW people. Positive self-direction means you only move forward in life and don't take steps back. Self direction should always be forward in a CTR direction. An example of this could be when you go to college. If you are invited to a party on a school night and you have to study for an exam, you should stay and study because even though the party may be fun for a few hours, in the long run you might look back on it and regret it knowing you could have stayed home and studied to pass the exam. No one but yourself should be responsible for guiding you in the right direction.
Quality 5: Positive Self-Control
Quality 5: Positive Self-Control
"Total winners can sacrifice immediate pleasure for a gain in the future. Delayed gratification is of immense value in reaching your goals."
When you have self control it means that you don't do anything you shouldn't even though you might have the need to do something, but even though it's wrong, You still do not do it. An example of self control is when you go to a buffet. You might feel the urge to eat anything and everything you can but you have to know your limits and not pass them. If you go to a buffet and have a goal to only eat a certain amount of calories and you stick to your goal, that is positive self-control. This quality isn't really talked about because everyone learns self-control when they are little.
Quality 6: Positive Self-Discipline
Quality 6: Positive Self-Discipline
"You have to discipline yourself or else someone else will discipline you into doing what they want you to do. Total winners have the power to discipline and take control of their lives."
It is important to keep yourself discipline because you have to be responsible for your self and your own actions. An example of positive self discipline is when you go somewhere and you really want to by something but you know you have to save your money up to buy something else. To have self discipline would mean that you don't buy the item that you want because you know that in the long run, you won't have money for what you really need to buy.
Quality 7: Positive Self-Esteem
Quality 7: Positive Self-Esteem
"Your mood and outlook on life affect the way you see the world and how you interact in it. Total winners are positive, powerful people who make people feel good and provide a good vibe to those around him/her."
When you have a positive self esteem it means that you are confident and you don't doubt yourself. An example in which self-esteem would be important is when you are presenting to a public audience. If you lack that self esteem, it will show and make your presentation appear unprofessional. Self-esteem is also important in job interviews. You are way more likely to be hired if you seem very confident.
Quality 8: Positive Self-Dimension
Quality 8: Positive Self-Dimension
"Total winners like in the present. They know that now is all there is. They don't get caught up in the past or worry about the future. They simply handle the business that they can handle which is the stuff going on today, now."
Quality 9: Positive Self-Awareness
"Total winners are aware of their power. They understand that they could be anything with enough effort and determination."
To have positive self awareness means that you know what is going in and are not oblivious to your responsibilities. One way to improve upon this quality would be to check your email/schoology everyday because this will help you keep track of everything due.
Quality 10: Positive Action
Quality 10: Positive Action
"Total winners take positive action in their business and with their friends and family. They are uplifting and motivating individuals that inspire the best for themselves and others."
Positive actions are always good actions because they are not negative. The positive actions will bring out the positive actions whom you associate yourself with.
