10 Keys to Personal Power

Key 1: Clarity
To have clarity is to have your mind set on your goals. If you want to be successful in life you have to have a plan. You have to have everything planed out and set and have to think about all of the situations that could occur and get in way to your success. Another way that the word clarity can be interpenetrated as could be to sober up and keep your body health and away from drugs and alcohol.
Image result for clarityFocus on the path that will lead you to successes. If you don't have any goals that you won't be successful.  When you clear your mind, you get a new start of ideas and can make plans to be successful.

Key 2: Competence

Image result for competence     When you are working on your homework or a school assignment you need to always complete it and not leave any park undone. When you want to be successful you need to complete everything and not leave things incomplete. Successful people do not turn in ideas or projects that are not done. Turning work that is incomplete is unprofessional and will not make you a successful or responsible person. An example of this can be when you are applying for a job. If you have a resume that is incomplete then you very unlikely to get that job because incompleteness shows that you are not responsible and unreliable. To be a person who can use competence in a perfect manner you have to develop other skills that will assist you in being a competent.

Key 3: Concentration
One important way to make sure that you can be the best you and a way to personal power. you should always stay focus and stay on track. When you are taking a test you don't pass by getting off track, you have to stay focus and finish your current goal to complete you future goals/ your main goals in life. A real situation you might find yourself one day can be when you are being interviewed for a job. You can't get distracted because you will ruin the chances of you getting that position. Concentration also plays a key role when you are playing a skilled game such as chest or checkers. You have to keep track and stay concentrated to prevent the opponent from beating you due to you not paying attention to a move that was played. Concentration is one of the most important rules to be successful.

Key 4: Common Sense
Image result for common sense
To be a successful person and how to be the best you, you have to have common sense. Common sense is something we all have but some of us don't use it. Having common sense means just knowing the simple things in life. One example of this is knowing what to expect your grade to look like when you don't do your homework. Without common sense no one would be successful in life. You should also think things threw before you try them. As well as to learn from your mistakes and set backs. You should also be training your mind on a daily basis to improve your knowledge and critical thinking skills. Common sense is one of the only things that you are born with that can get you far in life if you know how to use it.

Key 5: Creativity
When you are a creative person you get more ideas then others and that is a good thing because inventions are just ideas thought up by creative people before they are invented. One example in which creativity is needed is in certain games and as well in school. I remember that in certain assignments you get points for creativity and if there's no creativity then you will lose points. Creativity will help you reach your best personal power because creativity is a great way to get problems solved because you can think outside the box and you don't limit yourself.

Key 6: Concideration
When I say consideration I mean that you have to consider everything that could happen due to a choice you make. Also, this key which is consideration can be used when you have to think about others before you choose to make an action. By think about others, I mean that you have to think abut how they would feel or think when something is said or done. It is great to be considerate because you should want everyone to like you because when people like you, they can put in a work for you. When I say, put in a word for you, I mean that they can back you up when you are in a bad position. An example of this can be when you are blamed or falsely accused of a crime you didn't commit. If a person such as a principle or teacher like you, they could help you and back you up because they know that you are a great person. Being considerate will get you for in life and help you be more well liked by others.

The image to the right show
how the woman is not being
 considerate of the man. She
is just watching him as he
 struggles to move the chair
but yet, she does nothing to
help him in any sort of way.

Key 7: Consistency
Image result for consistent
Image result for courage     Being consistent means to always bring your A game and keep on giving effort in a steady way which is not decreasing or slowing down. When you are consistent you are never dropping, you aren't going down. Being consistent means to not increase nor decrease, it means to be effective over time. Being consistent at work is a great way to keep your job because when you are consistent at work, you are still putting in as much work as when you started to the job with the best amount of effort. Consistency is also something very important to athletes of all castigators. This is because if an athlete starts to show signs that they are slowing down, then it might be a early sign of losing.

Key 8: Commitment

Image result for commitment     When you want to be the best version of yourself, you have to be committed. To be committed means to no give up and stay true to yourself. When you are committed you are saying that you are going to do something and you stay true to your words. A great example of this is when you are getting married. When you get married it means that you are committed to only being with the partner you married an you have to stay loyal to your choice. But usually, people who get married aren't really prepared and that's why lots of people get divorced. Another example of being committed is when you get yourself a gym membership. Most people only go for a week or two when they buy a membership but, you should be committed to going to the gym since you bought a long-term membership. School can also be a commitment. A commitment can also be seen as a promise you make to yourself or to others.

Key 9: Courage
To have courage means to stand up for what's right. To have courage means to be brave and take action in your life. It means to not let opportunities just go way, you have to take every shot you got to be successful. An example of this can be, going into an interview for a job that you really want. If you did not have courage, you would probably not be brave enough to go in and give it all you got. You could be a bit nervous and not do as well as you hoped for and not get the job. When you are courage you don't let fear get in your way of doing what you want exactly how you want it. Another example of this can be when you are presenting your IDP in school. If you are not courageous then you might be a bit nervous which can effect your performance hence, you get get deducted points off your final grade for the presentation. Another example of being courageous can be in

Key 10: Confidence
Image result for confidence     When you have confidence you are not afraid to over come your fear and challenges. When you are confident you have courage to do whatever you feel like setting your mind to. Everyone has a certain amount of confidence, but those who a great deal of confidence are those who are successful in life because they don't let anything get in their way. Confident people like to face challenges and over come them. An example of this is when can be when you are applying for a job and have an interview. When you show your confidence you seem like a great candidate for the position because you show that you are a person who can get the job done. Being confident can also make you seem like an important person with lots of things happening in your life.

Reflection: I think that these 10 Keys are really useful because they can all help you be the best you and they will probably be the best shot you got at being successful. These 10 Keys will help you be successful because they give you all the guide lines on what you should do to be the best you. All of the 10 rules start with a C.

Reflection on Winter Break

During my winter break I didn't do much. Some of the things that I did were hangout with my cousin, watch movies, go out to eat, as well as go to my cousins house for a birthday party. In the first week of the winter break I went over to my cousins house and we went to Carlos Jr. and we played video games at his house. The second week of the break I celebrated Christmas and New Years at my cousins and we played GTA 5 in the living room. The third week of winter break I went to the San Fernando Valley by Sylmar to go to my nephews birthday party. In the party they had a table full of candy for the kids but I still got some candy throughout the duration of the party. I also got kicked out of my room on the last week of the break because my brother's wife and kids moved in so now i sleep in the living room.

Class Evaluation

Somethings that I liked about this first semester of Exploring Computer Science was that I learned how to improve myself as a student and as a person in general. I also enjoyed the fact that I was able to make a new goals in my goals journal.I also liked that I was able to learn a bit more about coding and realized how fun it could be. This class also helped me get more practice on my typing skills and this class helped me become proficient in making google slides and docs and all sorts of computer things.
Somethings that I did not like about this class were that it kinda seemed like we were just doing the same things everyday and it started to get repetitive and boring. There isn't much that I can say that I didn't like about thins class.
Somethings that I might recommend to improve this class could be to change the seating arrangement every month just so we can get to know our classmates a bit more. I would also recommend to talk and to show us more about computer programming and coding than to having us play simple games.
Some highlights for myself in this class this semester were that I passed this class with an A and I also got to work on my goals journal again and it helped me complete lots of them when I would go over all of my goals everyday for 5 minutes. Another highlight for this semester was that I got to learn about all kinds of habits and ways to improve my character.
Yes, I did my best in this class because I went threw my goals journal almost everyday and I followed all instructions given to me by the teacher and I did all of my work this semester. I didn't slack off or goof around in this class. I always did my work and I did the best I could.
Yes, I am writing and reading my goals journal. I kind of didn't do both sections of the goals journal because I really didn't have anything to write about in the second section of the notebook. I wrote in my goals section about everyday adding new ones and checking off the ones that I had accomplished.
I am committed to being a CTR person most of the successful people in life and CTR people. CTR people never get in trouble and they live happy life's. If you choose to be a CTR person and do well in school then you will live a happy life. Being a CTR person means choosing the right 24/7.

Innovation of Electric Vehicles

Image result for electric vehicles        Electric vehicles have come a long way. There are more electric cars now than there has ever been. Electric cars are cars that run on electricity instead of gasoline. They are being considered to be one of the most Eco-friendly because it doesn't add on to pollution like gasoline does from regular cars. One set that back is a problem right now is that there are not many places you could go to charge an electric car. I don't think that electric cars will be so common for a few more decades. This is because basically every car in existence at the moment runs on gas. There are also hybrid cars which are cars that run on electricity and gasoline. This is to at least give an effort to stop polluting so much. I think that electric cars are a good idea but they can be a challenging care to enjoy. First off being that there are hardly any power up stations for the vehicle. Secondly, electric cars are more expensive than other vehicles.

The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People

Habit 1: Be Proactive

"Habit 1 is the key to unlocking all the other habits and that's why it comes first. It says, "I am the captain of my life. I can choose my attitude. I'm responsible for my own happiness or unhappiness. I am in the driver's seat of my destiny, not just a passenger."

Image result for being proactive     To be an effective person in life you must follow certain rules that will help you become something. If you want to become something in life you have to be proactive, which means to not be lazy and waste your life watching TV. You should be out there learning new things, meeting new people, going to places you have never been. An example of this can be when you are in school. You shouldn't just be an average student who only goes to school because they have to. You should be enthusiastic and be apart of clubs or band or anything that would look good on a college or job resume. You have to be thinking about the future and be aware of how the present will affect your future.

"Happiness, like unhappiness, is a proactive choice."
-Stephen Covey
Habit 2: Begin with the end in mind

Image result for begin with the end in mind     This habit means that you should start something when you have it planned out to the end. If you start something without seeing threw till the end you might give up when you can't think of what to do next. An example of thins can be when you have an essay to do. If you don't have a lay out or know in which format the essay has to be done, you will struggle because you won't have had planned ahead or had any kind of guide on how to do it. Another example could be when you start on a test. When you start it with the end in mind you are more likely to do your best on all of it till the end. If someone was to run for president, they should be thinking on how they would address their position from the start of the campaign up to the end of their 4 year turn.

"Begin with the end in mind. Start with the end outcome and work backwards to make your dreams possible."
-Wayne Dyer
Habit 3: Put first things first

Image result for put first things first
When you are trying to multi task you could easily mess up due to the many things you are doing. That's why it is important to put first things first. By that I mean that you have to do one thing at a time but you must complete them. An example of thins can be with chores. Some people try doing them all at once and end up making a mess. That's why it is important to do one thing at a time and see it threw. When I say put first things first, that also means to do things in order. You have to stay in order to ensure that you can move on when your previous step is completed.

"How can you expect to be rescued if you don't put first things first and act proper."
-William Golding

Habit 4: Think win-win
Image result for think win win     What this habit means is that you have to only be thinking about winning and never losing because if you focus on losing then you will lose. But, if you focus on wining then you will win. An example of this can be when you are getting interviewed for a job. You have to be telling yourself that you will get the job and when you are determined to do something, then the chances are that you will succeed. Another example of this habit can be when you are taking a test. If you study and go over all of your notes to make sure that you will pass your test, you also have to tell yourself that you will succeed and when you are determined you can do almost anything.  Another example of this is when you are teaming up with a friend or co-worker to get something completed you have to think about what they win when you win.
"If you think you can win, you can win. Faith is necessary to victory."
-William Hazlitt

Habit 5: Seek first to understand, then to be understood
Image result for seek first to understand then to be understood
What this habit means is that when you are exposed to a new topic you should first try to understand it as much as possible before you try to explain it and be understood. An example of this can be during an IDP. First you'll need to clearly understand the topic before you can start to explain it to be understood. Another example of this can be a new theory or topic you are learning about. Before you try to teach anyone about your new topic, you must first master it. If you can't explain something so complicated so simply, you haven't learned it well enough. A great example of this can be a teacher in training. They have to go to college and many training before they can become a certified teacher because they have to learn the subject well enough to the point where they can explain it simply enough for a student to learn it and be able to explain it to their peers.

"Before you act, listen. Before you react, think. Before you spend, earn. Before you criticize, wait. Before you pray, forgive. Before you quit, try."
-Earnest Hemingway

Habit 6: Synergize
Image result for synergize
What this habit means is that it is better to work with a partner than to work on your own. To collaborate with other to get your work done. An example of this could be when you are trying to do your homework for a difficult class. By working with another person you are making it easier for you to accomplish your assignment while helping someone else complete theirs as well. Another example of this is with the teachers at school. Many of them work together to make assignments for their students to make sure that they are learning something new and know how to use it.

Habit 7: Sharpen the saw
Image result for sharpen the saw     What this habit means is that you should always improve yourself and be the best you can.
When you sharpen a saw in real life is because it has become dull and when it is sharpen it can do its job better and quicker. This habit is a metaphor saying that we are the saws that need to be sharpen. An example in where this habit can come in handy can be studying for a test. Another example of sharpening the saw can be when you train to run in a marathon. If everyday you wake up and run miles everyday, you'll be training and conditioning yourself to prepare you for what you have been training for which was to run in a marathon. A reason why it's important that you sharpen the the saw is to constantly keep yourself up to date in everything you know and do. Another way to see this habit is that to sharpen the saw means to prepare yourself for what you want to accomplish.

"Give me six hours to chop down a tree and I will spend the first four sharpening the ax."
-Abraham Lincoln

Final Reflection:
Overall I think that these 7 Habits of Highly Effective People are all very unique in their own way and are all very useful. I believe that perhaps the most effective habit out of the 7 would be to begin with the end in mind. I can use all of these habits to improve myself as a student and as a person in general. I can use the first habit, "Be proactive" by always trying to find something useful to do. The second habit, "Begin with the end in mind" can be used to always first think about the outcome of your actions before you go with them. The third habit, "Put first things first" is a useful habit to start to do if you are a procrastinator which I know I am, and I can use this habit by making my homework the first thing I do when I get home. the fourth habit, "Think win-win" Can be used when I am trying to do something that requires another person's help. I can use the fifth habit, "Seek first to understand, then to be understood" when we are learning a new lesson in class. The sixth habit, "Synergize" can be used when I am trying to decide where to eat when I am hanging out with someone. The seventh and final habit, "Sharpen the saw" an be used everyday. I could read a book, I could watch informational and educational videos, practice mathematics, etc. There are many ways to use all of these habits.
